A Way to get your child to rise high – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
“The fear of the Lord leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble.” (Proverbs 19:23)
My precious friend, today’s promise is taken from Proverbs 19:23 “The fear of the Lord leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble.” The fear of the Lord protects you from trouble and gives you a life of contentment. So, fear of the Lord is the base for one to live life with contentment and free of trouble. What does the fear of the Lord bring into your life? Proverbs 14:27 says “The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life protecting one from the snares of death.” It protects you from even sin.
Secondly, Proverbs 10:27 says “The fear of the Lord adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short.” Those who are wicked have their lives cut short, but those who have the fear of the Lord are able to live a long life with all joy. Thirdly Job 28:28 says “The fear of the Lord brings wisdom and understanding. Yes, doing everything with godly fear and righteousness brings the wisdom of God and understanding to make you excel in everything.
Fourthly, Proverbs 14:26 says, “The fear of the Lord is a secure fortress, and for their children, it will be a refuge.” When the parents have the fear of God, the children have a secure life. Psalm 112:1-2 says, “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his commands. His children will be mighty in the land.” It is the same for the rulers of the country. As a father or as a mother, when the rulers have godly fear in their hearts, everyone in the country become mighty and very secure.
Prayer:
My loving Heavenly Father,
Thank You for today’s promise. Help me to have reverential fear towards You at all times. Father, make me an example to my family. Help me to lead a blessed life and also bring blessings on my family.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
