You are the Righteousness of God – Samuel Dhinakaran

My friend, today’s promise is from II Corinthians 5:21 where the Bible says “ God made Him (Jesus) Who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. ” What a marvellous exchange the Lord Jesus makes! The One who knew no sin and who had no sin in Him became sin for us. And thus, gave us the ability to BECOME the righteousness of God. Such a powerful transformation! This happens to those who throw themselves at the feet of Jesus.

The Bible says such people become a new creation in Christ, completely transformed in His glory with no attachment or association with sin. This is becoming the righteousness of God. My friend, what a beautiful image you will have! People will just love to be around you. They will long to have you because you would have become the righteousness of God Himself. In the New Testament, Saul went on persecuting the people of God. He sent them to prison and tortured them. He was living for a sinful purpose. But God chose this Saul to become the righteousness of God. God’s mercy is that great, my friend. So don’t disqualify yourself. From that day onwards, as the light of Christ entered Saul’s heart, he was made the righteousness of God and thus he went on becoming a blessing to people. He kept on talking about the love of Jesus, strengthening and encouraging the people in the name of Jesus and bringing the miraculous power of God into their lives. He drove away demons from people and prayed for their well-being. He lived for the people and he had a selfless love for the people. He indeed became the righteousness of God. So shall you, my friend. So, rejoice and be glad!

PRAYER: Precious Lord, thank You for carrying the ugliness of my sin upon the cross. Through Your death, sin was destroyed and it has no authority over my life. Even as I pray, I receive redemption from my sins. Lord, shine Your light into my heart and give me a new life. Help me to embrace my new identity in Christ. Lord, grant me the grace to become the righteousness of God, always seeking to grow in Your love and holiness. May my life be a testimony to Your transformative power and may I share the message of Your great exchange with those around me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
