Blessings Restored Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion” (Isaiah 61:7)
Are you going through some shame, reproach and anxiety in life? Remember, it is not the end of your story. God is waiting to honour you and restore everything in a double measure. The One who has purchased you with His precious blood will never allow you to remain in shame. He will rescue you and lift your head. He will fill you with everlasting joy. Yes! “Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion” (Isaiah 61:7). Ms. Rebecca who looked upon the face of Jesus expresses her joy of being blessed in double measure:
“My name is Rebecca, I am from Chennai. I attended the interview for a government job and was selected for the desired post. When I went to that school to collect my appointment order and join duty, I was made to wait the whole day. Then I was told that my appointment order got cancelled, stating some reason for it. I was much heart-broken. This became the reason for mockery even for people from my own home. I faced reproach and shame. After that, I came and attended the Tuesday fasting prayer in the Jesus Calls Prayer Tower for three weeks in Chennai. Then in the third week, during prayer, I told the Lord, “Lord Jesus, I should not be here on the fourth week for prayer again. I should only testify on stage.” As soon as I left the prayer, I got a phone call from that same school requesting me to come and join work. Surprisingly, I was placed in a Higher Secondary School rather than the Middle School where I was placed earlier. After that, I enrolled myself in the Family Blessing Plan and in the Young Partner’s Plan. Miraculously by the grace of God, my salary was revised and increased. Praise be to God.
Beloved, it is true that God wants to restore whatever you have lost both materially and spiritually. He even restores the days and years that are lost. He is true to His word. As you gaze on Him with love and trust, you will never be put to shame. Let us pray to the Lord, “Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.”(Psalm 90:15). He will do wonders bringing joy into your family. For your shame and confusion, you will have double-fold blessing. He will satisfy you with His unfailing love and you will sing for joy and be glad all your days (Psalm 90:14).
Prayer:
Dear Father,
I believe that You can do all things and no purpose of Yours can be thwarted. There is no greater force to obscure Your great plans for my life. Lift me from this darkness of debased condition. Help me to climb above this disgrace and cause my face to shine. Let Your glory be revealed in my life. May Your favour rest on me. Embrace me closely to you until I see the dawn. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
