Blessings will double – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
“Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you” (Zechariah 9:12)
No one in the world has gone through losses like Job in the Bible. Yet he did not utter anything against God. He said “the LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised” (Job 1:21). Because he did not deny God or doubt God, God restored everything he lost in double portion. God’s Word records that the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning (Job 42:12). When we go through losses, we should continue to cling on to God for restoration.
Let me share a testimony of a karunya student who was blessed the same way as Job. A student named Richardson joined Karunya to do his M.Tech. He did B.Tech, Electrical Engineering in India and after that he had left for Abu Dhabi to start his career there. The Lord blessed him with everything. He was a millionaire. At the age of 22, he could afford anything he wanted. But in 2014, Satan interrupted his life and took away his wealth, friends, job and peace. He had come to India with nothing. He joined Karunya in 2016, to do his M.Tech in Computer Science. On the first day of the Prayer Training Conference, when he was seated crying to the Lord thinking about his losses, I called his name during prayer time saying, “Richard whatever you have lost God will give back to you in double portion.” Following that, God restored everything in his life and is leading him fantastically. Yes, God is faithful to restore blessings.
God says to you “Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you” as in Zechariah 9:12. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10). Don’t count what all you have lost instead count your blessings and praise God for He is going to give back everything twice as much as you had before. Your hope will not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18).
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I praise You for You are the God who gives blessings in abundance. You have come so that I might get back the blessings satan has taken away from my life. I thank You for all the blessings You have given me so far and I thank for You will fulfill Your promise to me by restoring twice as much as I have lost. Glory be to Your name.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen.
