You are the Light of the World – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
My precious friend, today’s promise verse is from Daniel 12:3 where the Scripture says, “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.” I pray that this promise for today will become a blessing in your life.
There are two categories of shining: Those who are worldly wise and desire to bring blessings upon themselves, will only shine for themselves. But when they shine for the sake of others that’s when people bless them and say ‘because of you I am blessed.’ Yes, when you start shining for others, people would be grateful for the love and compassion you have shown them. Perhaps you have cried with the people when they were at their lowest or taught them everything when they knew nothing or given them food, shelter and even money to sustain them when they had nothing. If you have done such loving deeds, it means that you are shining for others. And this brightness of yours will be seen around the heavens for everyone to enjoy the brightness in you.
The second important part of the verse says those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever. My friend, do you want to shine forever? The brightness of the sun is enjoyed in one part of the world only, during the day. But here the verse says you will be a star shining forever, night or day, now and forever. For this to happen, as the Scripture says, the condition is to turn others to Jesus who is our righteousness. Then you will shine as a star forever. This time, people would be so grateful that you not only gave them food but also showed them Jesus and have given life to live. Their souls will be blessed. What a joy it is! Dear friend, become a star for the Lord. Share Jesus with everybody and pray for others. Show compassion to others in the name of Jesus. Forgive everyone, humbling yourself for others to get transformed. You will be a star shining forever. May God give you this grace.

Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your loving promise. I pray that You will grant me a heart that will love and show compassion for others as You do. I surrender my life completely into Your care. Lord, let me be filled with Jesus who shines as the Morning Star forever. Transform me into Your image so that I will be able to radiate to others the light that flows from Your face. Lord, help me to reflect You, the Morning Star. Transform me and empower me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
