Wonderful Gifts found in Our Saviour – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
My precious friend, today’s promise is taken from Isaiah 9:6 which says “He [the Lord] will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” As you open up your heart to the Lord Jesus, He shall be born in your life with all the mentioned blessings coming into you.
Many years ago, a family took care of my father when he was a failure in his studies and was at his lowest point in life. My father was waiting for a job and was also writing competitive exams. Finally, he passed the exams and got a job at the State Bank. On hearing the news, the family rejoiced with my father because they loved him unconditionally and took care of all his needs. They sent him off with great rejoicing and honour. My father went to the other city and started working there. But after a few months, he thought of visiting the family – the uncle, aunt and their daughter, during a holiday. So, he bought them costly gifts with his earnings and came to their city with much eagerness to see them. But as my father was entering that street, a man met him and said, “don’t you know that uncle is dead?” My father was shaken on hearing this and he enquired to that man, “what about that aunty? She loved me so much! And the man said, “she died too unable to bear the grief and their daughter has also been taken away.” The gifts in my father’s hands fell and he wept bitterly for them.
My friend, today, Jesus is coming to you with all the gifts to give you a wonderful life in Him. He wants to be your Counsellor, your Father, a Mighty God and to be the Prince of Peace in your life. But if you are dead in sin in your life you cannot receive these wonderful gifts. So, today, I would encourage you to open your heart to the Lord and say, “Lord, let me come alive in You.” As you thus invite the Lord into your life, He will give you the grace to experience Him, as your living Saviour, to receive all these amazing gifts from Him.
Prayer:
: Loving Lord, I thank You for Your beautiful promise. Lord, I pray that You will come into my life right now and make me a new person. Give me the grace to experience You, as my personal Saviour, every day and be resurrected in my spirit and life. Lord, be my Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. Thank You that You want me to experience all these amazing gifts found in You. Lord, even as I pray, impart these blessings in my life and glorify Your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
