You have been Saved by Faith – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran

“Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Luke 7:50

Dear friend, today, according to Luke 7:50 the Lord says, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” What a joy it is to receive such words from the Lord! I know you must be believing God for a miracle to happen. Today, the Lord is going to perform the miracle for you. So be of good cheer! Your hope shall never be cut off as the Lord is saying, “it will be done.” You will indeed be saved by your faith as mentioned in Ephesians 2:8 which says that we are saved only through God’s grace and through our faith. It is not our doing but it is the gift of God. So, the Lord graciously forgives us and graciously performs a miracle.

A pharisee called Simon invited Jesus for a dinner at his house. Culturally, people used to honour their guests by washing their feet and kissing them and pouring oil over their heads. But this so-called pharisee failed to do all these cultural duties. But then a woman who was called a sinner slowly sneaked into the house and stood behind Jesus and she repented of her sins. She profusely shed tears and literally washed the feet of Jesus with her tears. She then wiped the feet of Jesus with her hair and she kissed His feet several times. She then poured the costliest perfume on His feet. That’s why the Lord Jesus said about that woman that she loved Him so much and then He said to her, “your sins are forgiven.” The woman was honest about her sin. She approached God with humility and so the Lord forgave her sins. This loving act of hers saved her.

The woman had so much faith in the Lord Jesus. That’s why the Lord said to her, “your faith has saved you.” Today, I also implore you to cry out to the Lord by humbling yourself before Him. Approach our loving Lord Jesus in faith for He gave His very life for us to be saved. Through His blood, we will be cleansed of all our sins. Expect great things from the Lord!

Prayer:

Loving Lord, I thank You for Your wonderful promise. You came into this world and You were crushed for my iniquities. Through Your precious blood, I am saved. Lord, even now, cleanse me from all my sins. Deliver me from all the curses and forgive me, Lord. There is nothing impossible for You. I believe that You will fill me with Your presence and beautify my life in every way. In Jesus’ name, I pray Amen.
