The Lord sees your tears – Shilpa Dhinakaran

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

My dear friend, today’s promise verse is taken from Matthew 5:4 which says, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” What a comforting promise from God! The Lord is indeed so close to you and He will deliver you.

The Bible reiterates this in Psalm 34:18 which says, “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted”. Today, are you saying that you are broken-hearted? Are you weighed down by your worries and you don’t even feel like waking up? Are you saying, “Lord I don’t want to face the world”? There are many situations that tend to overwhelm us: Maybe you have lost your loved one and you don’t feel like facing another day without your loved one, or maybe your spouse is cheating on you or you have been betrayed by someone that you trusted. Perhaps you are broken-hearted over your unsaved spouse or child who is addicted to worldly relationships and vices and you are desperately praying and hoping for a miracle to happen. Do not lose heart! Today, the Lord promises you that He is so very close to you. He knows your every struggle.

I remember when my husband, Sam preached about this verse, he said “when we are broken-hearted, it is when the Lord is more close to us.” This is very true my friend! The Lord sees your tears and He is very close to you. He will answer you and will deliver you. So, do not give up on your hope and prayers. You will experience the Lord healing your wounds and working miracles in the lives of your loved ones. Continue to pray! The Lord will surely deliver you out of all that is troubling you. He loves you unconditionally.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your comforting promise. You are the Lord who sees my tears. Thank You for giving me the assurance that You are very close to me at this time. You are there with me in each step of the way. Your presence is all that I need, Lord Jesus. Heal my wounds with Your comforting presence. I pray that You will perfect everything that concerns me and keep me in Your perfect peace and happiness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
