I Will Be A Father To You – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

My beloved child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Today, we shall meditate on II Corinthians 6:18, where the Lord speaks to us directly. This verse is truly blessed, as it reveals that God the Father declares, “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters.” How fortunate you are to have God Himself as your Father!

My heart is filled with fond memories of my earthly father and the way he used to lovingly call me “Stella ma.” Even now, when someone addresses me in the same affectionate manner, I can’t help but feel emotional as I remember the depth of my father’s love for me. This reflection on my earthly father’s love has led me to ponder on the love we should have for our Heavenly Father. Deuteronomy 7:6 and Psalm 135:4 says, “God has chosen you to be a people for Himself.” Yes, the Lord has indeed chosen us to be His people. But how can we become His people? The answer is found in Titus 2:14 and 1 Peter 2:9, where it is written, “To make us His own special people, Jesus Christ gave Himself and redeemed us from every lawless deed and purified us through His blood which was shed on the cross.” Through this act, the Father God has become our Father, and we have been given the great blessing of having Him with us at all times. Jesus Himself said, “Because I follow the will of the Lord all the time in My life, My Father loves me. He has never left me alone.”

Therefore, I urge you to commit your life to the Lord and have Him as your Father. When you start leading a righteous life before the Father, He will never leave you on any account. You will experience His love, protection, and provision in ways you never thought possible. So, love and honour your Heavenly Father, who has first loved you and has chosen you to be “His” people.

PRAYER:

Precious Heavenly Father, I am grateful for Your unconditional love upon me and for sending Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to be the ultimate sacrifice for my sins and curses. Through His precious blood, I have become Your child. I love You, Abba Father, and I ask that You guide me in making decisions that will honour You. I trust that You will always be with me and never abandon me. Please help me to draw closer to You each passing day and follow Your path. Thank You for Your guidance and provision. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
