Will Your Desires Be Granted? – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

Today, my dear friend, I want to share with you a promise from Psalm 20:4 that says, “May God give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” As human beings, we all have desires and plans for our lives. But have you ever wondered when these desires and plans will succeed? The answer lies in the preceding verse, Psalm 20:3, which says, “May God remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings.”

What does this verse mean for us today? The Bible tells us that the Lord is not interested in sacrificing bulls and goats anymore because Jesus, God Himself, came and sacrificed Himself for the sins of all people. Instead, God expects us to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to Him, as Romans 12:1 states. By offering our bodies holy and without sin, we are making a sacrifice. We are giving up all the pleasures of the world to follow Jesus. When we sacrifice our desires to Jesus, our only desire will be for Him, and our desire will be to do His will in the world. We will desire His blessings and never be tempted to fulfill our own lusts because the Bible tells us to “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Yes, your desire will be Jesus. When will you receive the desires of your heart? The answer is simple. You must surrender yourself completely to Jesus and sacrifice everything in the world for His sake. As a result, you will receive hundred times the blessings, prosperity, and joy from the Lord in this world (Matthew 19:28-30). Additionally, you will receive eternal life. Will you make the decision to follow Jesus today and sacrifice everything for Him?

Furthermore, God has made plans for your future, and no harm will come to you. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Believe that God has a plan for your future, and as you wait for Him to fulfill His plan in your life, every plan will succeed. In Haggai 2:6-10, the Bible tells us that the Lord is coming back soon, and before that, the nations will shake. The seas and dry land will shake, and the heavens and the earth will shake. When Jesus, the “desire of the nations,” comes, He will make all your plans succeed. May you have the experience of having Jesus as your desire, and may all of His plans for your future be fulfilled.

PRAYER:

Loving Heavenly Father, I want to give You all the glory, honour, and adoration forever. Thank You for sending Jesus to be my Savior and Deliverer. I am grateful for Your ultimate sacrifice on the cross for my sins, curses, and infirmities. I humbly offer my body, soul, and spirit as a living sacrifice to You. I know that You love an obedient heart, so please create in me a clean heart that seeks You always and worships You in all situations. Lord, You are my desire, and I want my eyes to always be fixed on You. I believe that You will lead me to higher plans and purposes for my life and bless me a hundred times over. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
