Mourning into Dancing Samuel Dhinakaran

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)
Today, what is it that is depriving the joy of a person? The loss of a beloved one, unable to come out of addictions, betrayal of friends, unemployment, poverty – When these issues weigh down the heart of a person, he is unable to accomplish the God-given dreams.  But, Jesus has said, Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).  So, lay down all your worries at His feet and rest in His presence.  Your blessings lie in your resting position in the Almighty God.  He who knows your need even before you tell Him, is watching over you.  He will come to your rescue.

I knew a boy during his college life who was addicted to drugs and drinking. Because of that, everyone hated him. Even his parents disowned him remarking him as ‘useless’.  Hearing every comment made by others, this young boy was totally dejected.  Heart-broken, he went to the terrace to commit suicide by throwing himself down.   As he was about to jump, he heard a voice “STOP IT” and the voice touched his heart. And he heard the sound of people praying in floor below. He ran to that meeting and wept, “O Lord, will you love me?” As the preacher continued to talk about Jesus, he gave his life to Jesus. His life had a turn-around!  He was placed in an excellent company in a fine position.  Today, he talks about the love of Jesus to everyone he meets.  All those who rejected him came seeking him.

Beloved, the answer for your problems lies in Jesus.  The medicine for your healing is in His stripes.  The remedy for your poverty is in His riches. He will heal your broken-heart.  He never forsakes you.  He gave His precious life on the cross for you to enjoy a wholesome blessing. He will comfort you with His showers of grace. The Bible says, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” (Matthew 5:4). So, open your mourning and wailing heart to Jesus who loves to embrace you. You will experience the strength from the Spirit of God.  Godly sorrow ends in salvation whereas worldly sorrow leads to death (2 Corinthians 7:10).  Your days of sorrow will soon come to an end.  God will comfort you and you will rejoice in your portion.  Your mourning will turn into dancing.  Though you feel that you have exhausted every opportunity to progress forward, God’s grace has a fresh supply of opportunities.  So, rise above all disappointments and discouragements!

Prayer:
Father,

I ask of You to look at my broken heart.  I have failed in everything.  I regret the days I kept my trust on people rather on You.  Look at my shame and open new doors to push forward towards Your beautiful purpose.  In this hopeless condition, You are my only hope. Make a way out of all my struggles and comfort me.  I claim the blessings that Your blood has earned on the cross.  Turn all my sorrow into joy.  In Jesus’ name I pray,

Amen.
