God Who Sees – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran

“You are the God who sees me.” (Genesis 16:13)“You are the God who sees me” – Hagar of the Bible, gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her near a spring in the desert, while she was running away from her mistress Sarai, chased out of the house with a baby in her womb (Genesis 16:13).  Yes, Hagar was comforted and blessed by the Lord and she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”   Beloved, truly, God sees you wherever you are. Your tears, pain and needs are not hidden from His eyes. He has kept all your tears in His bottle. He will comfort you and lift you to be a great nation.

One day, a scuba diver went to the bottom of the sea and there he noticed a piece of paper stuck in something. He took that paper and it was a tract in which was written, “My God sees me.”  It was in bold letters.  The scuba diver was a person who had refused the gospel many times earlier.  But the prayers of his godly mother and godly men were always upon him.  Hence, this time he had God’s intervention right under the sea and committed his life to Jesus Christ. He said, “I couldn’t resist the word of God this time. The Lord met me at the bottom of the sea.”

Yes! God meets you even at your lowest point of life to lift you above.  David, the Psalmist, had such experience of God’s omnipresence which made him sing in Psalm 139:8-10, “If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.  If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”  Your prayers to God can never go unanswered.  No oppression or depression can keep you down. He has promised: “The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. You will always be at the top, never at the bottom” (Deuteronomy 28:13).  The God who created everything out of nothing is for you and He says, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” (Isaiah 43:19). Receive your miracle and be glad.

Prayer:Dear Father in heaven,

I believe that my cry has already reached Your throne. You have seen my agony. You know how helpless I am. As You blessed Hagar, bless me and my family. Cover everything of mine under the blood of Jesus. Let my miracle be released into my life now.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
