Mercy at the Feet of God – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

My precious child of God, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today we are going to meditate on Isaiah 30:18 which says, “Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.” According to this verse, you and I have to wait at the Lord’s feet to receive His grace.

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 4:31 that “the Lord your God is a merciful God.” Also, II Samuel 24:14 and I Chronicles 21:13 says “His mercies are very great.” But to obtain God’s great mercies, you have to WAIT at His feet. When you wait at the Lord’s feet and cry out to Him for His mercy upon your life, He will be gracious to show you His mercy. In the Bible, we see how the Lord’s mercy intervened and transformed Saul into Paul (Acts chapter 9). Saul’s life was in utter darkness and he was instrumental in destroying God’s people. He was completely against God. Yet the Lord Jesus had great mercy upon him. He supernaturally intervened and visited his life. What a wonder! Saul became Paul at that very moment! Because of God’s great mercies that flowed into Paul’s life, he became a powerful man of God and wonderfully served the Lord till his last breath.

Dear child of God, this merciful God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He has unending mercy upon you. All you need to do is come to the Lord Jesus in prayer and plead for His mercy. He will not only grant you His mercy but will also clothe you with His strength and make you a great person. Instead of darkness, you will have His light in your life. You will shine for His glory!

PRAYER: Precious Lord, thank You for speaking to me through Your Word. Thank You for being a merciful God. Even now, I come before Your presence and plead for Your mercy upon my life. Lord, please intervene and make everything new in my life. Fill me with Your glory and let Your light shine in my life. Lord, You are the God who gives strength to the weak. Strengthen my walk with You and help me to wait at Your feet consistently. I believe that Your mercy will make me great. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
