No harm shall befall YOU
No Harm Shall Befall You
Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
“I will send my terror ahead of you”. (Exodus 23:27)
If we read the context of the verse mentioned above, we learn that God promised His people, the Israelites, blessings in abundance and protection from their enemies. This is the same promise that we as His children can receive too, as God has promised to go before us and win many battles that we face.
In the Old Testament, we read about Balak (Numbers 23) the King of Moab, who brought the prophet Balaam to curse the people of Israel. The moment Balaam saw the Israelites, God’s Spirit came upon him, and his eyes were opened. When the Spirit of God touched him, he foresaw how God was going to bless the people of Israel in the future. He restrained himself from cursing them. Instead, he counted the blessings that he saw in the vision and revealed them one after another. God opened the eyes of a man who was summoned by a King to curse a nation and its people. Isn’t it wonderful how God turned the enemy of Israel into a blessing?
SCRIPTURE to LIFE
My friend, this is how the Lord will turn your enemies who come against you to your side and help you. The Israelites were the chosen people of God; they were His children, and God protected them from any curse. Similarly, when you become a child of God, He will protect you from all evil. No curse or witchcraft can operate in your house. People may come against you at your workplace or in the place where you study; ask God to help you, and He will surely turn those who rise against you, either to run away from you or to come to your side. Therefore, quit dreading people or circumstances, as you have God’s protection 24/7 and God’s terror is more terrifying than any plot of the devil!
Prayer:
Loving Father, I thank You for the word of blessing You have spoken to me today. Lord, just as You protected the Israelites from evil, protect me from the evil forces of the wicked devil. Turn every plot of the evil one to good and bring my family also under your protection!
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
