Comfort to the broken hearts – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
“The Lord heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).
Dear friend, may God bless you according to Psalm 147:3. Here the Word of God says “The Lord heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Many times when you go through problems in life, you question where God is. David also asked the same question in Psalm 10:1 “Why, Lord, do You stand far off? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?” But then the Lord says to David that He will heal him and bind up his wounds. The Word of God says the Lord is very close to the brokenhearted people in Psalm 34:18. God is not far away from you dear friend but very close to you.
When the Israelites were going through problems, they said to the Lord as in Hosea 6:1-3 “Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but He will heal us; He has injured us but He will bind up our wounds. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will restore us, that we may live in His presence. Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”
Yes, you are not going to go through the problem you are facing at present forever. The Lord will come to you. He will bind up your wounds. A dear sister called Anushiya testified saying for eleven years she had been crying to conceive a child. Finally, she came running to the chapel in Jesus Calls Prayer Tower and cried to the Lord to somehow bless her. She tried various treatments for 5 years. She even lost two babies and was crying to the Lord asking how much more she had to go through. The Lord listened to her. He healed her broken heart by giving her a beautiful boy child. Dear friend, the Lord will remember you also. Today, He will heal your wounds and answer your prayers.
Prayer:
My loving Heavenly Father,
Thank You for today’s promise. Father, You have seen my tears and You know my broken heart. Please bind up my broken heart and wipe away my tears. I humbly ask You to answer all my long-awaited requests.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
