Enjoy the resurrection of Christ! – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen!” (Mark 16:6)
Beloved, Easter day wishes for everyone in your family in the name of the risen Jesus Christ!
When our loved ones suffer with in sickness or we happen to lose them, our hope and dreams seem to die along with them. But when they overcome death from a hopeless situation and receive good health and deliverance and come back to us, our dreams and hopes are revived along with them. Isn’t it?
Likewise, the disciples of Jesus would have thought that their hope and dreams died along with Christ on the cross. They who lost everything for Christ and followed Him would have felt a hopeless situation whenhe died on the cross. But when they met the risen Jesus in Galilee, their joy knew no bounds. But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen!” (Mark 16:6). Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of Jesus and the disciples of Jesus experienced the resurrection of Christ. Likewise, we too can experience the resurrection of Christ the two things that we need to do for this.
1. Follow Christ:
“When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb” (Mark 16:1-2).
The reason why many of us are not able to follow Christ is that we experience stagnation in our relationship with Him. When does this stagnation occur? When you forget to ask what you need to do for Christ and always expect what He will give you. Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Christ saw the risen Jesus because even though Christ was not alive to give Him anything, they decided to follow Him. They did not wait for anybody but rose up early in the morning and went to anoint His body with spices. The thought of following Christ under any circumstance was the reason for them to see Christ.
2. Roll away the stone of hindrance:
All three who went to the tomb were woman. No one had the authority to move or break that stone which was sealed by the Government. So, the thought, ‘who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?” would have risen. Yes, that big stone seemed like a hindrance for them to see Christ. Their purpose was to see him somehow and when they looked up and saw the stone they saw that it had been rolled away (Mark 16:4). Yes, the Lord saw the desire of those women and made the angel roll the stone away for their sake.
Beloved, the first thing to experience the resurrection of Christ in your hearts is to desire to be with Him. Secondly, the stone of hindrance that is seen in your life which obstructs and from interceding with you should be removed Ask the risen Jesus for He will break the stone of hindrance in your life and enable you to be happy and experience the presence of Christ. The Lord will be with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20)
Prayer:
Loving Lord,
Thank you for giving your only begotten son to die on the cross for me as you love me so much. Your love is immeasurable. Help me to follow you under any circumstance just like Mary Magdalene. Break all the stones of hindrance which are found between you and me. Help me to always be happy in your presence. Risen God, do not forsake me under any circumstance till the end of the age.
Loving father, In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
