Excellence and Abundance – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
Dear friend, may the Lord bless you according to Psalm 81:16. “He would feed you with the finest of the wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”
Even today, the Israelites abound with all excellence and abundance. The businessmen in Israel are such skilled and wise people. Israel also has the best technology. Their agricultural fields are so fertile. In Deuteronomy 32:13, the Bible says, “God made him ride on the high places of the land, and he ate the produce of the field, and He suckled him with honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock.” This verse mentions the impressive excellence and abundance of the land. We can get pure honey and olive oil from Israel. The Bible also mentions the abundance of curds, milk, fattened lambs, goats, choice rams of Bashan, and the finest kernels of wheat in verse 14. That much abundance is there in Israel. In Genesis 27:28, Isaac blesses Jacob: “May God give you heaven’s dew and earth’s richness — an abundance of grain and new wine.” If an earthly father could bless his son like this, how much more would our heavenly Father bless us?
The Lord will bless you not only in earthly ways but will also make you sit in heavenly places. He has given us His only Son, Jesus Christ, as the ‘Bread of Life’. God’s promises are like ‘honey’ to our minds, and Jesus is our ‘finest wheat’ and our ‘sweetest honey’. Whenever we receive a promise word from God, how sweet it is for our taste! They are sweeter than honey in our mouths. The Lord Jesus is our ‘Bread of Life’. In other words, He is the source of our life. He is the One who gives us excellence and abundance. May the Lord bless you today with His excellence and abundance, and may the finest blessings come to you.
PRAYER:
Dear Father, I pray that Your word comes true in my life. Please satisfy me with the finest wheat and bless me with the honey from the rock, Jesus Christ. Today, I ask You to pour out Your blessings upon me. Please remove all my shortcomings in the name of Jesus, and let my home, work, and everything that belongs to me be blessed with excellence. You are the God who gives us the best things to enjoy, and I ask You to let me have the pleasure of enjoying the blessings You are giving me. You are the Bread of Life, and I ask that Your life comes into me and lifts me up to the heights of the land. Please let Your praise and honour come upon me. Thank You, Lord, for blessing me with all Your heart. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
