Victory In Jesus – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
Are you facing difficulty in some way or the other? Is something sickening you? Does the future remain dark? Remember that, in our times of greatest joy and our deepest need, we have a shelter in Jesus and we can run to Him. So, do not be discouraged. Instead of being baffled by sudden jerks of life, trust in His word, “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken” (Psalm 55:22). With God’s help you can advance against a troop and can scale a wall (Psalm 18:29). Ms. Prema Vijayananth ,Tiruvallur, India shares how the Lord turned her sequence of sorrows into joy!
“There were so many problems in our family that we had absolutely no peace. On the one hand, I had to run my family with my meagre income and on the other hand, I had heavy debts to repay. We could not complete our house construction. Hence, I was always filled with emptiness. One day, one of my colleagues inquired me of the cause of my worries, directed me to go to the Jesus Calls Prayer Tower, and assured that Jesus Christ would change all my sorrows into joy. Brought up in an orthodox non-Christian family and with no interest to know about Jesus, I went to the Jesus Calls Prayer Tower at Vanagaram, Chennai often. One day when I attended the Family Blessing meeting, while sharing God’s message, Sis Stella Dhinakaran said, “The Lord will change your sorrows into joy; when the anointing of the Holy Spirit fills you, He will give you peace and joy.” She further prayed earnestly and I too prayed with hope that the Lord would fill me with His power. At that instant, my body began to shake and I felt a change taking place within me. When the power of the Holy Spirit filled me, all the burdens that were hurting me vanished from me. A divine peace and joy filled me. Following that, my debt problems were solved and the Lord also helped us to complete our house construction.”
Beloved, as a child of God, you are always a winner. The Bible says, “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4). Jesus himself says, “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Yes, you will come out unscathed of every fiery problem with the divine strength that has been deposited in you already!
Prayer:
Father God,
I thank You for leading me into salvation. As a child of God, let me have the divine nature that would fight against all the wiles of the devil. Lord, help me to remember who I am in You and overcome every problem that I am facing now. Give me wisdom, strength and favour to win over the challenges. Increase my faith and patience. Help me not to heed to ungodly counsel to leap out of my problems. You are a loving God who hears our pleas. The way You hear and answer my prayers amazes me and so with that hope I ask this prayer in Jesus’ name, Amen.
