Give up your burden – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
Dear friend, today, the Lord has given us a beautiful promise from Psalm 68:19. Here, the scripture says, “Blessed be the Lord, who bears our burden day by day, the God who is our salvation!” Blessed be the Lord who supports us each day. How blessed we are to have a great God who makes our journey prosperous. He carries all our burdens, and as the Creator of the universe, there is no weight too heavy for Him to bear. He can handle any situation, no matter how big it is. However, the challenge is that most people are unwilling to give up their burdens.
Once, while riding in a bullock cart, a man noticed a woman carrying a heavy weight on her head. He invited her to sit with him in the cart, and she happily accepted. However, the man observed that the woman continued to carry the heavy load on her head while riding in the cart despite the option to place it down. Likewise, many times, we also carry all our burdens in our hearts, and we suffer. This often leads to physical symptoms such as high blood pressure, chest pain, and other illnesses.
Our loving Lord Jesus says, “Each day has trouble of its own.” If we carry the burden of every day on our hearts, what will happen to us? We will die of all our burdens. That’s why the Bible says, “Blessed be the Lord who bears our burden day by day.” You don’t have to worry about provision, safety or anything else when you put it all into God’s hands. He will take care of you and meet all your needs in His perfect timing. Even if you think it’s too late, God will bless you at the right time. Don’t worry about your belongings or anything else in this world. The Lord Jesus says, “Come to Me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” So, come to Jesus. Give your burdens up to Jesus, and He will carry everything and give you rest. “Blessed be the Lord who bears our burdens day by day.” What a loving God we have who carries our burdens every day! He is the God of your salvation, and your deliverance is on the way, my friend.
PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise that You will carry my burdens. You are the God of my salvation, and I come to You now believing that You will give me rest from all my heavy burdens and fill me with Your peace. Please grant me the grace and faith to stop worrying about tomorrow and focus on today. Remove every anxiety from my heart and help me to be at peace in every situation, knowing that You will take care of everything that is bothering me. You are the God who delights in blessing Your children, and Your mercies are new every morning. I receive Your mercy for today and believe that You will lead me through this day beautifully, making me more than a conqueror for Your glory. Blessed be You, Lord, who carries my burdens day by day. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
