God will meet your needs! – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.” (Psalm 138:8)
All of us have concerns in different areas of life. No one, not even a child will be without a concern. But children are usually carefree because they know that their parents will take care of what they need. God calls us His children to remind us that He is our Father who will meet our needs. The psalmist had a similar experience of God and that is why he says “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me” (Psalm 138:8). We do not need to be worried about what we need because our Father knows them even before we ask Him (Matthew 6:8). If He cares about the little flower that is here today and gone tomorrow, won’t He care about us for whom He has sacrificed Himself?
The head of a family decided to give his daughter in marriage and finalized the date also. As the day for the wedding was fast approaching, there were many arrangements yet to be sorted out. But, he looked calm and relaxed. When the relatives enquired if all arrangements had been completed, he just smiled and said nothing. Some very close relatives even got angry and accused him of being indifferent and irresponsible. Yet, he continued to take everything easy and just smiled. When the day came, everyone in the family shared the responsibility and everything went on smoothly. The function ended as a memorable day. When everything was over, he said with his usual smile on the face, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me is my experience as well as my faith. I know my God used each and every one of you to make this marriage a great success. I thank you all for your support and help.” Then only, they understood the secret of his success in life. Yes! God will do the same for you.
God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). If you have a care that bothers you, give it to the Lord who cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). It is God’s command to cast our cares on Him. He does not want us to break our heads wondering what to do. When we obey God, we will see that God meets our needs richly and perfectly. He will never do anything haphazardly so He is worth trusting. With God, you can always smile and not be stressed.
Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus,
You are the Almighty God who can supply my needs richly so I give you all my cares. You are my Father and I surrender my requests at Your feet with thanksgiving. Let me always be calm and composed because I trust in You. You are my Shepherd so I praise You for You will not let me be in want. Give me grace to seek You and Your righteousness above everything in life.
In Your prayer answering name I pray,
Amen.
