God’s Favor – Stella Ramola
“For You are their glory and strength, and by Your favor you exalt our horn.” (Psalm 89:17)
Hello dear friend, today’s promise verse is in Psalm 89:17. It says “For You are their glory and strength, and by Your favor you exalt our horn.” Yes my friend, in this life we long for someone to encourage us, to find favor in the places that we go, in the eyes of our family, relatives, our boss, our teachers, our friends, the popular people in our places, in our college, school, and many different places that we go to and even in the eyes of our leaders. However, many times they may say a small compliment that encourages us and we feel so proud of it, but sometimes those compliments do not get us a raise or a good position in our workplace, might not get us good grades in our school, might not even do anything to lift us up in our life.
We see a man in the Bible called Joseph. He was rejected and humiliated in so many places. We see that he was rejected by his family, he was put in jail for false allegations against him, and he faced so many difficult moments in his life. Even through all of that, we see that God was with Joseph. Acts 7:9 &10 says, “God was with him and rescued him out of all his afflictions and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who made him ruler over Egypt and over all his household.”
Yes my friend, a man who was rejected by many was lifted up high in life because of God’s favor. Even today, your situation might be like that, but when God’s favor is upon you, He will lift you up to great heights. It will not be because of people’s doing and not because of what man sees, but because of what God sees. God will be your glory and strength and His favor will be upon you. So, be of good cheer, God will honor you!
Prayer:
My loving Heavenly Father,
Thank You for today’s promise. According to Your promise, be my glory and strength. Father, help me to find favor in Your eyes always. Lord, may I bring glory to Your name through my life.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
