God’s got your back – Samuel Dhinakaran
“Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.” (Isaiah 58:8)
Dear friend, I know you are walking with the Lord and I have decided to join you. Let’s see God’s promise from Isaiah 58:8, “Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.” When you see people in the army or in the police force going forward, one person will say to another, “Go forward. I’ve got your back.” That’s because only at the back we will not be able to see unless we turn. If you are worried about the back all the time you cannot move forward. It will slow you down.
Today, many things might be slowing you down at the back. Backbiting against you in your school or workplace or in your friendships or betrayals of people might be hurting you and you might be thinking of revenge. Lack of resources might be hitting you at the back. Bad habits or bad acquaintances brought by the devil might be pulling you back. Today, all your time might be wasted looking at these things behind you and it might be destroying your peace, but God says, “when you look behind you, you will see My glory being your rearguard. I’ve got your back. I’ve got it with My glory.”
God’s glory will be the one that will follow you and protect you. It will protect you from being disturbed or distracted. You will not waste time by being concerned about these things that are pulling you back. You will keep moving forward and will accomplish God’s will. Thank God that He’s got your back today. You will only see His glory when you turn back. You will see no danger in your life. God’s presence will back you up and you will never be alone. You will not have to fear any unexpected terror. God will be behind you and before you. Trust in His presence and move ahead in life.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your glory is behind me and protecting me. Thank You for You will only allow me to see Your greatness behind me. Let me see no betrayals or lack in my life. Let me spend no time looking back on bad things or habits that are stopping me. I march forward looking at Your glory. Let nothing distract or disturb me anymore. Help me accomplish great things for You.
In Your precious name, I pray. Amen.
