God’s light dispels darkness – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

“The Lord is my light and my salvation.” (Psalm 27:1)
This whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one (1 John 5:19). He brings tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril and sword in the lives of people and makes them struggle in bitterness, tears and sufferings. This is what he did in the life of the upright Job. But because of the firm faith, hope and love that Job had for God, He saved him from the evil deeds and designs of the wicked devil and enabled him to receive the light.

A head of a family incurred heavy losses in his business and was in huge debts. He was perplexed and did not know what to do. This resulted in his wife and children going through many anxious moments and sufferings and his friends and relatives too did not help him and left him in the lurch. His condition was miserable and no one came forward to help him. It was at this stage that a dear sister took his wife to the Jesus Calls Prayer Tower and requested a prayer warrior to pray for her. This made her hold fast to the Lord and she began to read the Bible and pray. She also encouraged her husband and made him join her in prayer. The Lord filled their house with His presence. There was a gradual change in this man’s business. They began to pray as a family and with all reverence got involved in church matters. The burden of debt disappeared. The Lord became the head of that family. He who trusts in the Lord will be prospered (Proverbs 28:25). Accordingly, the Lord made him to prosper in all the things he did (Psalm 1:2,3)

Dearly beloved! Likewise, the Lord loves to give His light and salvation (Psalm 27:1) in your life too. Hold fast to Him and trust Him to receive this blessing. However terrible be the things of darkness that you are talking about, surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ today. Then the Lord will give you salvation along with His blessings. He will also make your life full of light and fill you with holiness.
 
Prayer:
Precious Saviour!

How great is the darkness that makes me suffer in this life on earth. Give me the fear and devotion to seek You. Remove all the darkness in my life by stretching out Your right hand. Save me and guard me.
