Hope For A Miracle Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. (Proverbs 13:12)
In the Bible, we read about various characters who waited long to receive God’s blessing. Abraham waited almost 25 years to embrace the child promised by God. Joseph waited almost 17 years to enjoy the elevated position in Egypt. David waited long to be lifted to the throne as a king of Israel. Bible says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12). Do not lose heart when you see no trace of a miracle. Great wonders are awaiting you. Your sorrow will turn into joy very sooner. Here is a testimony of a sister blessed with a child after a barrenness of 20 long years:
“My niece Shanthi was barren for 20 years. She spent all her days in tears and shame. Added to this, she faced lot of problems from her family, piercing words from relatives, contemptuous looks and talks from the neighbourhood. Everything crumbled her to devastation. At this hard hour, she was struggling whether to live or to put an end to her life. Not knowing what to do, I resorted to write a letter on her behalf to Sister Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran for my niece Shanthi. She too prayed and replied with comforting promises from the Word of God. My niece, when she read the reply of Sis. Evangeline, she was highly encouraged and had her faith and hope stirred up. Shortly thereafter, she conceived and gave birth to a beautiful child. Her whole family rejoiced with her and was comforted much. They are happily living today. All glory to God.”
Gloom deepens as the years prolong. But, remember that “We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19). Heaven and earth shall pass away, but God’s word will never fail. Beloved, God will make His word come true for you. He has heard your prayers. He will wipe away your tears and remove every shame. You will be honoured among those who despised you.
Prayer:
Dear Father,
I thank You for strengthening me this far. Look upon my reproach and bless me. Hear my heart’s groaning. Turn my sorrow into joy. Help me to embrace my miracle sooner. Give me more faith and patience. Help me to comprehend Your ways. Lead me by my hand to inherit my blessing. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
