Hope for the future – Samuel Dhinakaran
“So there is hope for your descendants,” declares the LORD. “Your children will return to their own land.” (Jeremiah 31:17)
Dear friend, I greet you in the name of Jesus as you eagerly read about God’s promise for today. Make sure you put God’s word into your heart and lock it up. Jeremiah 31:17 says, “So there is hope for your descendants,” declares the LORD. “Your children will return to their own land.” Yes, God is saying there is hope for you dear friend. What a wonderful word that is! There is hope for your future.
There was a disciple of Jesus called Peter. He entered the house in which Jesus was sitting in. Jesus saw that Peter was worried and afraid and how he was going to pay his taxes. He was so, because the tax collectors had come to Peter and mockingly asked, “Can’t you and your Jesus pay taxes?” He was worried about the money as to where it would come from! You might also be broken and wondering, “Lord how am I going to repay my debts?”
What is the hope for my future and my studies and arrears? Am I really going to pass my exams? What is my twelfth exam going to be like? You might say to the Lord, “I am so afraid Lord. I am worried.” Jesus sees that and He is moved with compassion. He said to Peter, “Peter, go and do your job and fish. In the mouth of the first fish you catch, you will find four drachma coin. Then with that go and pay your taxes and Mine.” What a miracle God did! Yes, God is saying, “Go back to your job, your studies and you will find My riches there. You will find My victory and success coming to you.” Jesus will be the hope for your future. Not only you, when God blesses one man like Abraham, Isaac also was blessed more and Jacob was blessed even more. So your generations will be blessed even more my friends. The blessing is secure for you and your future. Thank God for it.
Prayer:
Loving Father,
Thank You Lord for changing my hope for the future. I was worried Lord. I was afraid. Thank You for changing my heart. Thank You for being the hope of my future. Thank You for doing a miracle as a sign of Your power just to encourage me Lord. I am filled with hope. You are my hope. You will give me the best Lord. Thank You for blessing my descendants too.
In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.
