Love at all times – Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran
“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.” (Luke 6:27)
Love is a powerful weapon, which will diffuse the bomb of hatred in the heart of a person. Bible says about it as, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21). Reveal Jesus to your enemies by loving them and praying for them. Let the spirit of love linger in your heart today and transform the lives of others. Loving your enemies does not mean that you agree with them in everything. Instead, it means that when they hate you, you love them in return, thereby halting the cycle of hatred and retaliation.
One devious man was continually writing false and incorrect information about me in his magazine for many years. Some of our friends went to him and asked him, “Why do you write such impious reports about Bro. Dhinakaran?” And his reply was shocking to them. “My magazine sale picks up only if I write such things about him. This way I keep myself going.” When they asked him, “Why don’t you meet Bro. Dhinakaran in person and get your news clarified instead of publishing them?” He replied saying, “Sir, I cannot do such a thing. If I meet him in person, he will draw me closer to him with his love and he would change my heart. It will not be in the interest of my business.”
God expects us to have love and affection towards all. We see how Jesus asked Judas Iscariot with love, “Friend, why have you come?” even while Judas was about to betray Him. This shows the love of Jesus. Yes, in this society, we need a witness like this. We are living in a wicked world. But, we should love those who slander us or do evil against us. The Bible says: “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you” (Luke 6:27). As you begin to do good for your enemies, divine love will birth in your heart for them. In this way, you can show Christ to others. We read in Bible as, “When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them” (Proverbs 16:7). Do you have an enemy? Love them. Do good for them.
Prayer:
Dear Father,
thank You for sending Your son Jesus for us to die on the Cross. Thank You for Your love that has been poured in my heart through the Holy Spirit. Help me to show this great love to others. Give me the grace to love my enemies. Enable me to do good to those who do bad to me. Let me spread the fragrance of the love of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
