Power in Praise – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran

I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips (Psalm 34:1).
Praise multiplies your miracles and triggers the supernatural wonders. You will be lifted from troubles and would reach your destiny.  So, say aloud, “I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips” (Psalm 34:1).  Count your many blessings and name them one by one.  They will surprise you.  Forget not all His benefits.  Bless His holy name at all times to enjoy complete joy. 

David, a man close to the heart of God as we read in the Bible, discovered the power in praising God and to be in the presence of the Lord at all times.  His heart rejoiced at God’s goodness.  He couldn’t stop gazing at God’s beauty and majesty and he exhorts others saying, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name” (Psalm 100:4).  David received divine wisdom, counsel, guidance from God’s presence.  That lifted him to become the king of a nation.  Yes, David did not doubt on God’s promises .  Instead, he made his way to the throne through praise!  You too praise the One who is worthy of all your praise at all times.  He is the giver of all good gifts. Look at Job in the Bible. Even at the worst situation, when He had lost everything in a day, he says, “..The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised” (Job 1:21).

These men of God held on to their salvation and continued their journey of faith. They received multiple blessings from God for their love for Him.  Having been washed by the blood of Jesus and precious in God’s sight, have you ever rejoiced and jumped with joy for the great salvation and eternal life?  Have you ever rejoiced at His precious promises? Yes, God has healed, protected, provided and guided you so far.  So, how can you stop praising the One who created you? Today, decide to discover the power in praise. 

Prayer:
Dear Father,

Give me the grace to praise You at all times and taste joy in that.  Amidst all the discouragements and depression, fill me with the spirit of praise.  Let my heart and tongue speak of Your greatness at all times.  Open my eyes to see the greatness in praising You.  Make me sensitive to Your presence.  May Your name be exalted through my life.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
