Pray for others – Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran

“… pray for each other so that you may be healed.”  (James 5:16 )
Once a brother from Sri lanka wrote a letter to me that, “We are partners in Jesus Calls ministry. One day suddenly my wife became sick, her situation was very critical and we admitted her in a nursing home. She was treated for forty five days and her conditions did not improve. The doctors asked us to take her to a government hospital. Doctors in my wife’s side tried their best, but it was of no use. She was fed by the nose as she was unconscious. The doctors gave up and said that my wife is going to die soon, and asked us to take her home. I did not know what to do. With tears, I put her in an ambulance and took her home to make arrangements for the last rites.

In this situation, I sent a message to you from Sri lanka by fax explaining my wife’s situation and asking you to pray for her. Within few hours after sending this prayer request, my wife suddenly woke up from her death bed and started talking to everyone around her. We were all awestruck. My relatives said that, ‘What the doctors were not able to do, the compassionate prayers of Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran was able to.’ She is healed of her sickness and she is a living testimony today. I praise the Lord for this great miracle” And he was thankful for our prayers.

Dear friends, do not pray only for you and your family, but also pray for others. When people ask you to pray for their needs and we say that I will pray, but do you remember it when you pray? The Bible says, “pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective”(James 5:16). When people share the burden and pray for each other, it will be a great blessing for them. Will you become a praying partner for people who ask you to pray for them?

Prayer:
Blessed Father in Heaven,

Give me a compassionate heart that prays for people. Help me to remember to pray for those who are in need. Let my prayers be a blessing to others. Help me to think of the needs of others as my own and pray with a burdened heart. Change me and use me.
