Privileges of sonship – Samuel Dhinakaran
“the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15)
Dear friend, it is time to look forward to something great because the Lord says in Romans 8:15, “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”” Today your earthly father or mother might have passed away, you are missing them so much and you are feeling alone. Or may be there’s lot of fighting in your home or may be your parents have bad habits that they are not looking after you.
You might not have any relationship with your father or mother. You might be longing for a real relationship of love. Today, God says, “I am adopting you as my son/daughter.” He says, “Please come into My arms.” He will kiss you and bless you. Yes, right now He is loving you with all His love. He says, “From today, I give you all authority to call me Father.” Call Him, “Abba Father.”
When you do so what does He give you? We read in Luke 15:22,23, “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate.” Yes, your heavenly Father will robe you with the best clothes, ring, beautiful sandals and celebrate you. He will throw a big feast and keep you full every day. This is how He treats you His son/daughter. From this day, you are going to have such great blessing from the Lord. He will meet all your needs according to His riches (Phil 4:19). People are going to see that you are the son/daughter of God. Come into His hands and surrender yourself to Him.
Prayer:
Loving Father,
You are my Abba Father. Fill my heart with love. Help me feel the warmth of your love. Provide me with all I need to rise high in life. Make my life be beautiful. Let my heart and my face with glow with Your love. Thank You for You will give me the best and make me glorify Your name.
In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.
