Rescue from dangers – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

“Surely I will cause the enemy to intercede with you in the time of adversity and in the time of affliction.” (Jeremiah 15:11)
What a great promise this is! In this world, the devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking to devour us by creating distressing situations and doing evil works (I Peter 5:8). But when such distressing circumstances surround us, the Lord who is our God of peace shall crush the devil under our feet (Romans 16:20) and set us free. He will show Himself strong on behalf of those who are commited to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). I had to pass through various trials and tribulations in my life.

Once, my beloved husband Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran suddenly fainted and fell down while he was praying. We thought that some doctors would be available and tried to contact them by phone but all our efforts were in vain. So, we literally carried him and put him in a car and rushed him to a hospital. A few brothers accompanied me crying all the way and it looked as though Bro. Dhinakaran was almost dead. Severely distressed and in tears we reached the hospital in about forty five minutes. Yet I kept my whole-hearted trusted in the Lord. The doctors whom we were trying to contact also reached the hospital along with some other doctors and started to treat him. The Lord was with us at that terrible time of distress and He showed us favour. He rescued my husband from the valley of the shadow of death and saved his life.

Dearly beloved, are you surrounded by evils and troubles, shedding copious tears? Like me, you too hold fast to the Lord, your Saviour. Then the Lord will show you favour and render help. The Bible says, “Surely I will cause the enemy to intercede with you in the time of adversity and in the time of affliction.” (Jeremiah 15:11). Yes! He will rescue you from all danger and set your feet on a broad and safe place (Psalm 31:8). Fear not! The Almighty God is with you!

Prayer:
My Loving Saviour,

Please send me Your help and deliver me from this impending danger. I trust You that You can do all things and rescue me from all my troubles. Help me overcome my fears and trust You with all my heart. Make me a testimony to Your faithfulness.

In Your name I pray Lord Jesus,
