Perfect In Wisdom
“In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”. (Colossians 2:3)
My dearly beloved, when you are filled with the knowledge of His word, you become perfect. The Bible tells us that, God Almighty asked King Solomon, whatever he desired for, that He could give unto him. King Solomon had the liberty to ask anything that he wishes; yet the only thing he asked was for “wisdom” (2 Chronicles 1:11-13). He could have asked for wealth, for the destruction of his enemies, long life and much more; but he didn’t! And that’s the reason his fame spread through various kingdoms. He was never put to shame. The Bible says that King Solomon reigned over Israel.
Once, a youngster testified that he was eagerly waiting to receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the mighty power of God, through the Power Ministry retreat. He very much wanted to attend the retreat, but his relatives discouraged him by saying so many things. He felt so sad. That night he sat at the presence of God and cried out to Him saying, “Lord, please fill me with Your power and enable me to understand the Scripture. I am unable to attend this power ministry. So please fill me with Your mighty power”. What a wonder! That very night the Lord filled him with His power in an abundant measure. From that day onwards the Lord enabled him to easily understand the Scripture. He began to inherit every word for himself and started progressing in his spiritual life. The members of his family did not know anything about the Lord. Hence he started sharing with them as to how he received this divine joy. Now all his family members have accepted Jesus as their personal Savior. This is how the Lord wants to fill you also with His divine wisdom. Now let us meditate as to how this divine wisdom works in us
Therefore, wisdom is the most prime thing you should ask for. Because when you do not have wisdom of God, you will be put to shame. And when you receive the Holy Spirit, He will grant you the wisdom to do everything in a wise manner. As it’s mentioned in the Bible, “In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3). Our Lord has also said in James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Our God is God who fills us with wisdom; however, we need to ask Him, showing our dependence on Him, in order to receive it. God chooses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. When you look up to God in prayer the next time, humble yourself and confess your inabilities. You will see God’s wisdom descend upon you and you will do great things for the Glory of God.
Lord, God, our most gracious Heavenly Father! We thank you for this beautiful day. Lord in you are hidden all the treasures. We earnestly seek you that we may find you and all the treasures that are hidden in you. Help us to lead many people to acquire such blessing through the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Thank you for your love and mercies. All this we pray in the precious name our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
