The Lord answer your prayer! – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
“He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer” (Psalm 102:17).
The Lord says that He will enquire about you, comfort you with delight even in this month. So, do not fear! The promise for this day is that “God will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer” (Psalm 102:17). Jesus says, “And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bears long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily” (Luke 18:7, 8). Therefore, be thrilled! He will grant you the righteousness and justice that you have not received so far and you will prosper above all things and live. When you cry unto the Lord in your helpless situation saying, “I am alone and there is none to help me”, He will hear you. The Bible too confirms that He hears our prayer (Psalm 65:2).
The Lord chose David to be the king of Israel. The Lord sent prophet Samuel to David who took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brethren and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward (1 Samuel 16:12,13). When all these things took place, his heart would have rejoiced thinking that he would become king, but the prophecy was not fulfilled immediately. He wandered in the wilderness, struggled, and became a fugitive due to king Saul’s jealousy. His parents nor his wife were with him and he lost his sleep due to the fear that he might be killed. It was at this time that he cried out to the Lord saying, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Psalm 22:1). Then the Lord comforted him saying, “I will be Your Shepherd, I will make you lie down in green pastures and lead you beside the still waters. I will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies. I will anoint your head with oil”. Yes, the Lord did not leave David to be desolate.
Likewise, even Job lost all his possessions.. Even his wife asked him to curse God and die. His body was full of sore boils, so he scratched himself with a potsherd as he sat on the street. Also, his friends broke his heart with false allegations. At this point, the Lord had compassion on him and “blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning” (Job 42:12). He blessed him to see four generations after him.
Even today, believe that the Lord will surely fulfill all the promises that He gave you. Never forget that the Lord is all powerful to do anything. Do not be disturbed by the situations that are against you! The One Who changes situations is with you. He Himself will break the barriers (Micah 2:13), and answer your prayer. Jesus Who has said, “I will not leave you forsaken”, will call you Hephzibah and Beulah, bless you and meet all of your needs.
Prayer:
Loving God,
You have promised that You will not leave me helpless. Today’s worldly environment instills great fear in me. Please remove this spirit of fear from me. I believe that You are all powerful to do anything. Please break all barriers hindering my blessing and meet all my needs. Cover me with the shadow of Your wings and protect me till these calamities pass. You are a God Who does not shun prayer. Fill me with Your grace and bless me throughout this month.
Gracious Father, in Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.
