The LORD is near! – Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth” (Psalm 145:18)
In 1990, I underwent a heart surgery.  Few years after that, my doctors advised me for a check-up.  I heeded to their advice as it appeared good for my health.  For the same, a medical team came to my house with all necessary medical equipment.  I was a bit tensed as to what they would say after examination.  My family was also scared about the report.  Doctors did their duty. I began my duty of praying to The God who heals me. At that time, in His presence, I felt a divine touch.

Yes! He is a God who answers prayers. “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth” (Psalm 145:18).  He is near to all those who call on His name.  In Isaiah 38:1-5 we read about king Hezekiah who was ill: “In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.” Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.  Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah: “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life’” (Isaiah 38:1-5).  How gracious our Lord is!  He removes the fear from our heart and every tear from our eyes. 

Are you in panic?  Has fear surrounded you?  Do not worry.  He will do for You what He did for king Hezekiah.  He will arrest the fears and do supernatural miracles for your sake.  Today, bring all that aches to His presence.  Call upon His miracle-working name.  A great peace will fill you.  He will keep you at rest and work marvels and wonders.  The Almighty God will remove sorrow, pain and suffering from your house.  Nothing is impossible for Him who created you in your mother’s womb.  He will fulfill the good work He started in you.  Do not panic.  Cast your burdens on Jesus for He cares for you (Psalm 55:22).

Prayer:
Dear Lord,

I thank You for You carry me like a father and comfort me like a mother.  You will never leave me nor forsake me.  I am never alone.  Even now, I bring all my fears and lacks before You.  Let Your peace fill me. Bring my rattling heart to rest.  Bring all Your promises to my memory.  Until You complete what You have promised me, You will never leave me.  Do a miracle in my situation now.  Revive me and lift my head above all plans of the enemy.
