Transparent before God – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy. (Psalms 103:8)
God sees what people cannot see. You might do something without the knowledge of people but not without the knowledge of God. He knows even our thoughts.
A few days ago I read a funny incident. A man stood up and began to talk in a public meeting. He was showing off himself like a godly man and everyone thought that he was a righteous person. He was also pretending to be one. When he got up and started talking, suddenly, in the front row, he saw a person who was with him in prison before. Nobody knew that this person has come from prison. On seeing the inmate a fear rose in his mind. Then he said,” I will give a gift at the end of this meeting for those who do not reveal the secret of others and what they know about others”.
Yes, you can gift others to keep their mouth shut about your secret sins, but how will you cover your conscience? How will you hide it from your heart? Every second our conscience will speak to us and because of which we will be troubled. How do we get cleansed from our sins? The Bible says, “Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD, evil is avoided” (Proverb 16:6). Grace, means the mercy of our God. Yes, to be cleansed from our sins we need God’s grace and mercy. The Bible says, He is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3) and He is rich in mercy (Ephesians 2:4). It is also written “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Jesus was crucified on the cross and gave his life to save us. Today, humble yourself before the Lord and confess all your sins. With His great mercies you will be saved. May the Lord bless you.
Prayer:
Loving Father in Heaven,
I know my life is transparent before You and I want to confess my sins to you. Please forgive my shortcomings and help me to bring You honour all the days of my life. Be my strength and make me an overcome in all areas of my life.
I ask this in Jesus name,
Amen.
