We are God’s temple – Samuel Dhinakaran
“We are the temple of the living God” (2 Corinthians 6:16)
Beloved, the Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth surely can create a dwelling place for him to stay. He is the almighty who created this beautiful universe. The Bible says “For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.” (Psalms 33:9). But he desires to live in our heart. In Luke 9:58,” Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” Through this verse, we can understand the longing of the Lord. He is looking for a place to dwell. We should thank the Lord because he dwells in the Church of God. Jesus loves you. Even today, as you have given your heart for the Lord to dwell you have become His temple. The Bible says, “we are the temple of the living God” (2 Corinthians 6:16)
There was a little girl. One day she was looking at a picture that was hanging in the house. It was the picture of Jesus Christ, hanging on the cross. The little girl was looking at that picture. Her mother was watching her. After a few seconds, she ran inside her room and took her doll house and kept it at the bottom of the picture. She used to decorate that doll house every day that was her favourite hobby. Even though playing with the dollhouse was favourite to her, she brought it to Jesus, who was hanging on the cross. Her mother asked her, Mary, why are you keeping it under the picture? Are you not interested in playing with your favourite toy? She replied, When I see Jesus hanging on the cross, with his arm stretched, he tells us something. He is so lonely, so I gave him this house. I gave my dollhouse for Him to stay in it. Her mother was surprised. This little thing would have delighted the heart of Lord Jesus Christ.
Today He is longing to come into your heart. He is looking for a loving heart. Jesus is knocking your heart. Open your heart to the Son of God. He will come and dwell in you. God Bless you.
Prayer:
My loving Lord,
I invite you once again to come into my heart and dwell in me. Remove everything else that hinders Your Presence in my heart. Give me the grace to be devoted to You and please You through my words and deeds. I am all Yours Lord Jesus.
In Your Name I pray,
Amen.
