You desire will be granted! – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
“The desire of the righteous shall be granted” (Proverbs 10:24).
Beloved, the Lord shall give you the things that you desire. Do you believe this word of God? More than what others desire for you God will give you your own desires. Some people say. “It’s enough if we pray a little. God knows what we need” (Matthew 6:5-8, 32; 23:14). Some others say, “Why should we pray when the provider Himself is in us?”
Once, two people saw a terrified bull racing into the fields and destroying them. They tried to chase it away but the bull turned around and started chasing these two instead. As they were being chased by the bull, one guy turned to the other and said, “Hey! The bull looks fierce and it is chasing us. If it gets to us we are finished for sure; so please pray and do something to save us.” The other replied saying, “oh! I have never openly prayed, I don’t know how to pray.” The first one said, But if you don’t pray now, we will be killed today. The other person said, “Hey! My dad has taught me a prayer to recite before having a meal. Let me recite that prayer.” Saying thus, he prayed, “Father! Thank you for giving us this meal.” You can imagine what would have followed.
My Friend, The scripture says, “The desire of the righteous shall be granted” (Proverbs 10:24). The only thing that God expects from us is that we should DESIRE and ASK. “He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor.” (Isaiah 59:16). This is the condition of the world today. There are no intercessors. But He is asking us saying. “My son and daughter, what do you wish for me to do for you?” It is His desire to grant us our desires that we ask sincerely from our hearts. He says, “Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24).
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly father,
Your word says that the desire of the righteous shall be granted. Help me to take delight in you so that you can give me the desires of my heart. Grant me my heart’s desire and fulfil all my purpose as you have promised in Psalm 20:4. Help me to catch a vision in my spirit of all my heart’s desires with the word of God, and declares. “I will by all means take possession of my heart’s desires, for I am well able to overcome any adversity by my God!”
In Jesus’ name I pray loving father,
Amen.
